Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Located in Uganda, Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary is the only place in Uganda where you can see rhinos in their natural habitat. Established in 2005, it is a conservation project dedicated to the reintroduction and protection of the endangered rhinoceros species.

Tour Plan
One-Day Trip to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Early Morning
6:00 AM:Â Depart from Kampala (approx. 3-4 hours drive, about 176 km).
9:00 AM:Â Arrive at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
9:15 AM:Â Briefing and safety instructions from the guides.
Morning
9:30 AM:Â Guided Rhino Tracking Safari (about 2-3 hours). Walk through the sanctuary to see the rhinos in their natural habitat.
12:30 PM:Â End of safari, take photos, and enjoy the scenery.
Afternoon
12:45 PM: Lunch at the sanctuary’s dining area or pack a picnic.
1:30 PM:Â Optional short nature walk, bird watching, or visit the conservation center to learn more about Rhino conservation efforts.
Late Afternoon
3:00 PM:Â Start your return trip to Kampala.
