Semuliki National Park, Uganda

Location:
Located in western Uganda, within the Albertine Rift Valley, in Bundibugyo District. It borders the Democratic Republic of Congo and is near Lake Albert.

Size:
Approximately 220 square kilometers.

Highlights:

• Biodiversity: Hosts over 400 bird species, including the rare shoebill stork, as well as primates like chimpanzees, baboons, and forest elephants.
• Hot Springs: The famous Sempaya Hot Springs feature geysers that spout hot water and are believed to have healing properties.
• Ecological Significance: Part of the Congo Basin rainforest, it is home to many endemic and threatened species.
